Make a Monster Difference Program

What is the Make a Monster Difference Program?

Make a Monster Difference is a community impact initiative that expands access to It’s Not Mean to Be Green experiences for children.
Through partnerships with businesses and community organizations, the program brings storytelling, music, theatre, literacy, and environmental learning to schools, libraries, and youth programs.

The goal is simple: help children discover that caring for the planet, and each other, makes a Monster Difference.

How the Program Works

The Make a Monster Difference program launched in spring 2026 in partnership with Delaware House Representative Sophie Phillips to expand environmental literacy and creative learning opportunities for children across Delaware schools, libraries, and community organizations.
Community partners help make the program possible by supporting the delivery of a complete creative learning experience that blends literacy, performance, and environmental education.

Participating organizations receive:

  • A recorded reading of It’s Not Mean to Be Green and the Make a Monster Difference Pledge, recorded with Representative Sophie Phillips
  • A signed copy of the book
  • The full musical script and music tracks
  • A perpetual license to use the materials for:
    • camps
    • school productions
    • classroom activities
    • extended day programs
    • community performances and fundraisers
    • Green Team leadership resources
  • Student certificates and engagement materials
  • Guidance for implementing the program

Together, These resources allow schools and community groups to create a fun, hands-on experience that teaches children about creativity, leadership, and caring for the planet.

Every partnership helps empower the next generation to Make a Monster Difference.
